February 11, 2011

So here I am again. It's my turn to write a blog post. I can hear the screaming in my head "write something good, inspirational, funny..." But... I have nothing. Nothing dear blog readers. So I'm stuck here write about stupid stuff. Which is not good, inspirational, OR funny. So... Sorry to disappoint you :)

Oh, wait, actually I just thought of a topic. LOVE. The cursed L word. The word everyone uses too often and never means. I am spending this Valentines Day alone. Not that it's any change from any other year. But every year, time and time again, Valentines Day turns into more of a joke and less of a day to show your affection to the one you love. For example; at my school we are selling carnations to raise money for some organization or another. You could have sent 3 kinds of carnation. One color meaning friends. One color meaning sweetheart, and the other color meaning Secret Admirer. With this sale comes the pressure and gossip of who gets a secret admirer carnation. Every girl wants one. If you get a Secret Admirer carnation, you instantly get promoted to the top of the school (or at least this is the lie lots of girls hear in their heads). Some girls have such a need to be the center of attention that they buy THEMSELVES a Secret Admirer carnation. How lame is that?
So on this Valentines Day I find myself sick. Sick of everyone flaunting their boyfreinds/girlfriends/husbands/wives. Sick of the puppies and hearts. Finding myself much like Kurt and Blaine in this weeks Glee episode. (Sorry. You guys are probably getting sick of the Glee references, but the show always seems to have something to do with my life.)

So here I am. Stuck. Loveless on Valentines Day. Hope you aren't in the same position as me.

Glee

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to know what you guys think about Glee. I personally love it and watch it every week. But there are some pros/cons to the show. I mean obviously there are some moral dilemmas. In previous seasons, there has been things like: a) a girl who got pregnant b) by a guy who is NOT her boyfriend c) OR her husband. d) Kurt is gay and even more. (Note: I know not everyone thinks these are problems, but some people do, which is why the show is so controversial.)
At the same time the show provides a pretty realistic look into every day high school. Or at least the every day high school stereotype. It also shows great variation; the artists have performed everything from hip hop, rock, country, christian, oldies, ect. As a viewer, this keeps me entertained; no matter what I know that Glee is going to perform some song I wouldn't even think of them performing (ex: on this weeks episode (Season 2, episode 11) Rachel and Puck performed "Need you Now" by Lady Antebellum).
So what are your theories? Are there any redeeming qualities in this show? Why do YOU watch Glee? why DON'T you watch Glee? What do you like or not like about it? I guess the real question I have is do you think the pros outweigh the cons?
So just post below :)

Cabin Fever!!!

Hey everyone!!!! This is Girl 2!!! So, recently where I am we have been stuck at home for maybe a week. We are not very used to snow/ice...so we dont have ice clearing skills! :) But it seems like cabin fever is taking over lots of people! Some things to do when you are stuck at home due to weather:
1) Call your friends
2) Make a blog :)
3) REad a book
4)listen to to your favorite music
There are so many more things that you could do, make your own beauty products :) or watch a movie! I know it seems boring, but soon enough the weather will clear up, so dont loose faith! I hope everyone beats Cabin fever and finds something to do! You never know, those boring snow days could turn out to be really fun!
Thanks for reading! -Girl 2 <3 :)

Hey guys! It's me, Girl 1!

So do you guys like games? I know it's so wierd but I L.O.V.E. games. Especially board games and card games. Plus (if I do say so my self) I'm pretty rockin' at them (You can ask girl 2). To me it just seems a lot more fun to get to play a game with someone. You learn a lot. Like;
1) are they competitive?
2) can they multitask (play and talk)?
When you're playing a video game it's not the same. I mean first of all you're not even neccesarily talking to the person. And second of all if you are talking to the person it's usualy about the game. When you're playing a board or card game you can talk about anything and everything. It's a real bonding experience.

So anyways I just basically wanted to chime in on my thoughts.
Thanks for reading!

Invisible

Hey, this is Girl 2! Have you ever felt invisible? Like nobody cared about you, or that the person you really want to care doesn't? I know I have and it really stinks! There are guys that I like and I talk to...but I know they dont feel the same way. Also sometimes if you fight with family or friends, it feels like they dont care about you. What I want to say is, somebody will always care about you. Never lose faith and no that boys pass and go, but your true friends, and your family will always be there for you!

P.S. We want to start a business, but we dont know what to do.....comment below and give us ideas! and make sure to tell us about your blogs! we would love to read them!
